Cassie was 2 weeks old on Jan. 29th. We took her to her 2 week dr. appointment and she weighed 8 lbs. 5 oz. (up almost a whole pound!!!) She was 20.5 inches long. She is growing lots everyday! She has been sick this past week. She's had a low grade fever and has been very fussy. She keeps us up at night but it's ok because her cuteness make up for it! Amber, Holly, Joshua, and Megan came up this past weekend. They all got to hold her---but I think Megan liked holding her the most. Shannon was able to take the kids swimming and to play at Arctic Circle. Cassie loves to take a bath! She just sits in the water and relaxes!
Carley turned 6 years old on January 21, 2008. She had a family birthday party the day before with all of us + Coach, Granny, Jaes, Jourdan and Jayde. It was fun to see them. Shannon took the kids sledding behind the 4 wheeler all day. They loved it and couldn't get enought of it! Granny made yummy flank steak with sweet potatoes and salad. One of the funniest things we did was take pictures of us with Jourdan's lap top. It would stretch our faces into very interesting shapes! Jerome and Angela came up late Sunday night and spent the night. It was fun to visit with them. Jerome and Angela took the kids sledding the next day while Shannon watched Cassidy. Alysha took Carley and her friends to Leo's Pizza Place for Carley's birthday party. She had a lot of fun and got some fun presents: baby dolls, Bratz lap top, clothes, toy dogs, music for her MP3 player, microphone etc. We are lucky to have Carley in our family. She is a sweet girl and we lover her a lot!
Cassidy Jo Jenkins was born on January 15, 2008 at 11:56 a.m. She weighed 7 lbs. 6 oz. and was 20 inches long. Alysha's biggest baby yet! Lots of people think that she looks like Shannon with Alysha's dark coloring. She is absolutely beautiful. She is a good baby--although she is vocal about what she wants when she wants it. She definately likes to eat and sleep (being held). The other night Shannon slept on the bathroom floor with her for about 1.5 hours because she wanted to be awake and look at the red light in our bathroom (heat lamp). Shannon has been off work since she was born and will go back Jan. 28. We've enjoyed him being home to help out. He's a wonderful father. Kayla, Dallin, and Carley all think she's pretty special. They all think that they are in charge of her. Carley tries to tell everyone how long they can hold her for. Dallin's favorite thing is to kiss her lips and have her do it back. Kayla won't admit it but she likes to change her diapers. Amber, Holly, Joshua, and Megan are all coming up this weekend to meet their new sister. We are excited to see them!
